Lakeside Medicine Centre owners Greg Andreen and Chris Waller have tailored their store to cater to seniors as well as Kelowna’s general population. Partly because the partners have been involved with the pharmacy trade since childhood (their parents were pharmacists), they have deliberately stocked Lakeside not only with a wide range of products, but with plentiful skilled staff – 23 in all – in order to facilitate one-on-one service, even during peak hours. Andreen says, “We often have more staff than customers, and that’s the way we like it.” Visit Lakeside Medicine Centre's web site for more information, products and services by clicking here: www.lakesidepharmacy.ca
“We have specialized medications for a wide variety of health issues,” says Andreen. “This is in addition to more common pharmaceutical products such as first aid supplies, vitamins and other items.” All of Lakeside’s products are backed by training, counseling and general advice from Lakeside’s staff. “We treat every issue with equal attention and seriousness,” says Andreen. “We pride ourselves in being the complete pharmacy for the community.” Visit Lakeside Medicine Centre's web site for more information, products and services by clicking here: www.lakesidepharmacy.ca
Lakeside’s Registered Nurse delivers a host of in-store services. “Our RN is an enterostomal specialist and provides correct fitting and maintenance of ostomy products,” says Andreen. “She’s also highly-skilled in foot care and wound management.” Longevity is another factor in Lakeside’s ability to provide a high degree of service. “Some of our staff have worked here for over 25 years [Lakeside was established in 1973], and even our so-called newcomers have been with us at least five years,” says Andreen. “Therefore there’s a lot of trust between staff and customers, and that’s the key to good health treatment.” Visit Lakeside Medicine Centre's web site for more information, products and services by clicking here: www.lakesidepharmacy.ca
