West End Medicine Centre has been awarded the Pharmacy Practice and Drugstore Canada 2012 Commitment to Care & Service Award in the area of “Integrated Pharmacy Program” for their work in Ostomy care.

Commitment to Care & Service Awards is the only national awards program created to recognize, and reward, the many facets of pharmacy-- from patient care to health promotion; from disease management to business acumen; from inter-professional collaboration to charitable work.

West End Medicine Centre’s Ostomy Care and Supply Centre started with a small ostomy section in 1985; today they care for over 3,000 patients! They have five registered nurses and three assistants on staff with multiple examination rooms to support their ostomy service.
